Coventry Assisted Living

Founded in 2000, Granville House is a 60-bed assisted living residence. All accommodations feature full private baths with handrails, handicap access showers, and an emergency call system in both the bedroom and bathroom areas.  Cable television and private telephone lines are also available in each room.  While not required, residents are encouraged to bring their own furnishings from home to create their own unique, personalized living space.  Residents can choose from private or companion room accomodations.

Granville House has long been a cornerstone of the Oxford community.  The majority of our residents hail from the greater Oxford area and almost all are lifelong residents of Granville County. 

We are particularly proud of the stability of our staff.  Blessed with a turnover rate dramatically below that of the industry as a whole, we are able to provide more personalized care to our residents.  Our personal care staff is under the direct supervision of a full-time licensed nurse who serves as Director of Resident Care.

Our strong activity program caters to the social and community needs of our residents…..we strive to bring the community to our residents, as many of them are no longer able to travel out into the community as much as they would like.  Some of the innovative programs include a monthly dance where a local country & western band plays for our residents and their families. 

As the first of the Coventry Assisted Living communities, Granville House laid the foundation for our expansion........while our commitment to excellence may have started in Oxford, our philosophy of caring extends to all of our communities.
